Bridgeport Art Trail Finale - PECHAKUCHA

PERSONAL STORIES OF CREATIVITY AND LEADERSHIP IN THE ARTS

Since this PechaKucha celebrates the last day of the Bridgeport Art Trail, the theme for this event will be CREATIVITY AND LEADERSHIP IN THE ARTS. You will be sure to hear authentic, possibly unexpected personal stories — interesting experiences that may make YOU laugh, cry and/or spark new ideas!

PechaKucha translates to “Chit-Chat” in Japanese, but that’s somewhat misleading. It’s a group of people each presenting for six minutes and forty seconds with 20 compelling photos or visuals shown 20 seconds each. This makes each story succinct, interesting, inspiring, fun and/or funky. A PechaKucha is a tasty storytelling feast! This Sunday evening gathering, which also serves as a unique closing party of the BAT weekend, celebrates creativity and leadership in the arts.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR MORE Artists, Veterans, Writers, Dancers, Musicians, History Buffs, Cooks, Librarians, Barbers, Unicyclists, Botanists, Body Builders, Foodies, Teachers, (pretty much anyone with a passion about something) to share personal stories at this Bridgeport PECHAKUCHA – VOL 6.

Bijou Doors open at 6 pm. $1 contribution goes to the international PechaKucha.org. Food and drink will be available to purchase!

If you would like to present, please fill out a proposal here: http://bit.ly/PK6-ArtTrail

To help potential speakers with the process of understanding what a Pechakucha is and how to create the slides and presentation there will be one workshop at the Barnum Museum on Saturday, Oct. 5th at 2:00. Register here: http://bit.ly/pkworkshopvol6

You can also find the registration on our FaceBook page: http://bit.ly/FB-Pechakucha-Bridgeport . If you have any questions email PKBridgeport@gmail.com or call John Swing at the Barnum Museum (203) 331-1104 ext 100.
